9 Μαΐ 2024 · Taxonomy II has three levels: domains, classes, and nursing diagnoses. Figure 3.3 (p. 58) depicts the organization of domains and classes in Taxonomy II; Table 3.1 (pp. 66–78) shows Taxonomy II with its 13 domains, 47 classes, and 235 current diagnoses.
Within NANDA-I, our taxonomy provides a way for naming, describing, and classifying clinical judgments about human responses to actual or potential health problems or life processes, or a vulnerability for that response. Our Taxonomy II is now more than 20 years old.
Table A contains commonly used NANDA-I nursing diagnoses categorized by domain. Many of these concepts will be further discussed in various chapters of this book. Nursing students may use Gordon’s Functional Health Patterns framework to cluster assessment data by domain and then select appropriate NANDA-I nursing diagnoses.
In the latest edition of NANDA nursing diagnosis list (2018-2020), NANDA International has made some changes to its approved nursing diagnoses compared to the previous edition of NANDA nursing diagnoses 2015-2017 (10th edition).
Nurses use standardized nursing language, such as NANDA-I (North American Nursing Diagnosis Association International), to identify the problem and related factors. Planning After formulating the nursing diagnosis, nurses develop a comprehensive care plan that addresses the patient's specific needs, goals, and interventions.
