1 Δεκ 2023 · 10mm starts to get into the scales where the games you’re playing substantially change. While you can play all sorts of rule sets with 10mm – Black Powder, Valour and Fortitude and Soldiers of Napoleon all play well at 10mm – the size difference is now enough that you can really scale out.
5 Νοε 2020 · For my own ease of reference I created the Force Guide table below, so I can see at a glance the size of the sixteen 1813 scenarios, which sides are involved, and how many of each type of unit is necessary. Units are infantry battalions, cavalry regiments or part regiments, and batteries (some half batteries).
13 Οκτ 2019 · This is a fictional battle to try out my new 2mm Napoleonic figures. The reason for having a look at this scale is the possibility of playing the largest Napoleonic battles on my maximum (7'6" x 4'6") table and not taking years to paint the figures.
2 Σεπ 2019 · The most important result from this resurgent interest is that it's driven me to get more Napoleonic games on the tabletop. After a few recent games I came to the conclusion that I wanted to try playing this level of game in a figure scale smaller than 28mm.
27 Ιαν 2023 · I am hoping that 2023 is the year that some Napoleonic gaming will grace the figures table, with two ‘Pocket Armies’ being built. However, in the lead / plastic mountain, I have acquired enough figures to do the project in 13.5mm, 20mm and 28mm – of course, only one can progress.
21 Απρ 2018 · The occasion was celebrated in fine fashion with a game in one of the great wargaming periods, played using some classic figures. To wit, a Napoleonic game with 30mm figures from the Willie (Edward Suren) and Tradition (Charles Stadden) ranges, both still available from Tradition of London.
