I am building a Napoleonic collection but my goodness this sets the standard. This is a visually impressive collection – and at 54mm too – but most impressive of all are your levels of passion and dedication.
Does anyone know a company that sells 32 fig battalions in 6mm, preferably on 4 figure strips? An alternative would be 24 fig batallions on 3 fig strips. I want to have 4x 20x20mm bases per batallion for maximum rule flexibility.
I'm looking at getting into Napoleonic wargaming, with a particular focus on the Peninsula War. I'm a little unsure of which scale offers the option at the moment, however, I'm leaning towards 15mm due to having experience of this scale with Flames of War.
Well detailed figures that are chunkier but much better detailed than Warlord, they also offer battalion sets and reinforcement packs with picked out varied poses for figures. Front Rank's metal offerings are more robust than Perry for each nationality, but a bit more expensive.
I have seen many posts in this sub about Napoleonic wargaming at 6mm or 10mm, so I am curious what people suggest for a new wargamer just starting out in a rural area with no local gaming clubs within an hour drive.
You can create a much bigger chunk of a Napoleonic battle by going in the opposite direction. For instance, 10mm or 15mm. There's a guy on FB (Zack Duckworth) that 3d prints 2mm figure stands and is able to create the ENTIRE ORDER OF BATTLE for smaller engagements at a one man per notional one figure (it's kind of hard to tell with 2mm).
