On the open source side, Firefox has a fairly good basic editor. LibreOffice has a Draw program that works well. On the liteware side, just for speed and some of the great speed features, I like PDFXChange. I generally recommend against Adobe PDF, free or commercial.
I’ve been building SimplePDF.eu on my free time for a little over 3 years to do the simple things (and more): Adding text, checkboxes, pictures, signatures. Adding, deleting, rotating pages. Filling out forms. The PDF editor is completely free and does not require an account to be used.
The easiest way of getting the ESV is through Crosswire.org. Accordance and Logos will limit how much text you can copy. I don’t know about the NASB...I encourage people to avoid the NASB. Hendrickson Publishers used to publish loose-leaf bibles of both though.
(Note: as one doing PDF hacks for almost 20 years when the ONLY option was an expensive Adobe product, I also have two other favourite tools to manipulate things, PDFtk Builder Enhanced, and Coherent PDF (cPDF).
I am trying to find PDF versions of any and all of the following translations: NIV, NASB, ESV, & NKJV. I am willing to pay for them, although free would be great. Edit: Thank you for your responses. I do have Bible apps downloaded, however, I'd like the actual file to preserve the text.
None of the posted links work well enough I’ve found. Libre Office Draw (or whatever their PowerPoint alternative is called) has edited every PDF I’ve thrown at it with ease, and it’s 100% free 👍
For background I have used the ESV, NIV, KJV, NKJV, TS2009 and the NASB versions of the Bible. My current favorite, and primary go to, is the NASB. It is easy to read as it uses modern English but still highly literal. Some of the perks to me are: Highly literal, it does not paraphrase or give opinion of what the Word says.
