WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, June 8, 2020 — For the third consecutive time, Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest and most-utilized evaluator of charities, awarded a coveted fourth star – its highest rating – to American Humane, the country’s first national humane organization.
American Humane, the country’s first national humane organization, which for 140 years has been dedicated to the protection of animals, has been named a “Top-Rated Charity” with an “A” rating by the American Institute of Philanthropy’s CharityWatch.
We respond to large-scale cruelty cases and disasters around the world, providing rescue, hands-on care, logistics and expertise when animals are caught in crises. Our afiliated care centers heal and provide lifelong sanctuary to abused, abandoned, exploited, vulnerable and neglected animals.
