The Navajo Nation Museum is a museum and library on Navajo ground in Window Rock, Arizona. Its collections, exhibits, and other activities focus on the cultural history of the Navajo people. Its activities include traditional museum exhibits, a research library, and programs that help to revive and preserve the Navajo language.
We collect anything that helps document the culture and history of the Navajo people, including selected materials from tribal and non-Indian neighbors. The museum maintains a very active and professional exhibition program, most of which is produced in-house.
The modern Navajo Museum is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the rich and unique culture of the Navajo Nation. Native displays, a book and gift shop, snack bar, auditorium, outdoor amphitheater, information kiosk, library and on-site authentic Navajo hogan complete the center.

Five sections include a very nice collection of Navajo artists' work, information about the WWII Code Talkers, artefacts of the Navajo Nation, and the moving story of the relocation of the Navajo, their costly but stubborn resistance to the new land, and their successful return to their homeland.
