4 Οκτ 2010 · What the heck happened to Aluminum Jelly? Any idea why it was discontinued? That stuff was great for cleaning gilt buttons and even a quick application would remove tough encrustations on things. Very disappointed to see it gone. Any suggestions for substitutes? Thanks.

12 Δεκ 2021 · Naval jelly is sold under the brand name Loctite Rust Dissolver. It contains phosphoric acid, which is capable of converting rust to a water-soluble compound that can be washed away. Apply it to rust liberally with a brush, let it dwell for at least 15 minutes and then rinse it off, prime and paint.

25 Οκτ 2010 · Navel Jelly is a very diluted acid and takes forever to dissolve the rust. Extend is just a coating and makes you feel good but doesn’t get down to the base of the rust. Dupont makes an etching solution that works well after wire brushing or sand blasting to then remove all microscopic rust, then prime and paint.
