To renew your vehicle registration online, visit the North Carolina DMV website and: Provide your license plate number. Provide the last 5 digits of your vehicle title number. Pay the registration renewal fee (see “ Fees to Renew Your NC Vehicle Registration " below).

North Carolina combines the billing of annual vehicle registration fees and vehicle property taxes so that they can be paid together on myNCDMV. Note: Your vehicle must be inspected within 90 days of the renewal date to be eligible for renewal.
