1 Ιαν 2024 · North Carolina recognizes all states concealed carry permits/licenses regardless of the age of the permit holder. Residents must have a North Carolina Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) in order to carry in the state.
Concealed Handguns Reciprocity. Since 1995, North Carolina has allowed qualifying residents of the state to obtain a permit to carry a concealed handgun from the sheriff of the applicant’s home county. The permit is valid for five years unless it is revoked.
Concealed Carry in North Carolina. Residents with a concealed handgun permit may CC, and North Carolina automatically recognizes CC permits issued by another state. The state grants CC permits after individuals complete a state-approved firearms training and competency course.
