23 Ιουν 2008 · Download the appropriate *.rpm file for your platform and either install or upgrade the ncbi-blast+ package as appropriate using the commands: Install: rpm -ivh ncbi-blast-2.2.18-1.x86_64.rpm Upgrade: rpm -Uvh ncbi-blast-2.2.18-1.x86_64.rpm. Note: one must have root privileges to run these commands.

Download and install BLAST+. Installers and source code are available from https://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/blast/executables/blast+/LATEST/ . Download the databases you need,(see database section below), or create your own.
31 Μαΐ 2010 · Download a blast+ package from NCBI through a web browser: Log on to ftp://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/blast/executables/LATEST/ and select "Save target as ..." after right-clicking on "ncbi-blast-2.2.29+-win64.exe".
The Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST) finds regions of local similarity between sequences. The program compares nucleotide or protein sequences to sequence databases and calculates the statistical significance of matches.

10 Μαρ 2015 · I've got a copy of ncbi-blast-2.2.30+.dmg. The installer runs as expected and reports successful installation to my HD. However, I then can't find the application anywhere on my HD.
