NDCS utilizes a preregistration process for visitation in all facilities. All visits must be scheduled at least seven days in advance, using this web form. Visits may be scheduled up to four weeks from the date of the request. Four adults and a reasonable number of children are allowed at each visit.
Incarcerated persons at the Nebraska State Penitentiary are allowed two virtual visits per month. Virtual visits are limited to 40 minutes. Individuals will be notified via email of the virtual visit once it has been approved. Requests will be granted in the order received.

Review the VISITATION HOURS & SCHEDULE for Nebraska State Penitentiary and other Nebraska DOC Prisons. VISITS ARE ON A FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED BASIS. Try to arrive 15-30 minutes early for your visit. All visitors for inmates MUST be on the inmate's approved visitor list.
Remote Virtual Visitation for Nebraska State Penitentiary Inmates. The Nebraska Department of Corrections allows virtual visits by Zoom, Skype and other Vendors. Call 402-471-3161 to arrange a virtual visit if you are already an approved visitor.
Before you can visit an inmate in Nebraska you must fill out a Nebraska inmate visitors application. The inmate must initiate this request by filling out the first lines of the application and mailing it to you.
