There are several ways to participate in the sport fishing opportunities in Neah Bay. Head out to the Pacific Ocean or fish in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Fish for halibut, lingcod, rockfish, greenling, sea bass and salmon or maybe you are looking to steam up a Dungeness crab.
The recreational season for California sea mussel (opens in new tab) (Mytilus californianus) and bay mussel (Mytilus trossulus) remains open year-round. The daily bag and possession limit is 10 pounds (in the shell) of California sea mussels and bay mussels in combination.
Fishing for a variety of bottom fish out of Neah Bay / Marine Area 4 can be incredible when the season is open. This typically occurs from the second Sat. in March until the Third Sat. in October. Note: Halibut is different, has special opening days linked below and a quota system.
Marine Area 4 is the premier small boat fishery along the Washington coast. Cape Flattery is renowned for its exceptional beauty and salmon fishing during the summer. Neah Bay is the primary access point for Area 4, although some anglers launch at Snow Creek or travel from Sekiu.
24 Ιουν 2022 · by Jason Brooks. Neah Bay and the Makah Reservation have been closed since Covid took over the world but this spring anglers got the good news. Neah Bay is back open! With halibut season’s set the tiny town started to see tourist and fisherman and they were welcomed with open arms.
11 Απρ 2024 · OCEAN-GOING SALMON anglers can circle June 22 as opening day off of Neah Bay and La Push. Salmon season recommendations were adopted Wednesday night by the Pacific Fishery Management Council and forwarded to the National Marine Fisheries Service for final approval by May 16.
