  2. Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT)® is an evidence-based clinical treatment system of 20 techniques that is driven by the advances in neuroscience and the understanding of music perception, production, and cognition, and the influence of music on non-musical brain and behavior function.

  3. Neurological Music Therapy (NMT) is the therapeutic application of music in cognitive, sensory and motor function training for neurological patients. NMT is an evidence-based treatment. Treatment techniques are based on scientific knowledge of music perception and production and their impact on non-musical brain and behavioral functions.

  4. This training is open to allied professionals who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) and music therapists interested in utilizing NMT methodology and techniques.

  5. Neurologic Music Therapy is an evidence-based treatment system that uses standardized, research-based techniques to treat the brain using specific elements of music such as rhythm, melody, dynamics, tempo, etc..

  6. A neurologic music therapist is a music therapist with advanced professional training in a standardized system of clinical techniques that use the functional perception of all properties of music to train and retrain brain and behavior function.

  7. Open to allied professionals who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of neurologic music therapy (NMT) and music therapists interested in utilizing NMT methodology and techniques. The training will be held in English by Prof. Dr. Michael Thaut and Dr. Corene Hurt-Thaut and NMT-fellows. from 14 upto 17 September 2024.
