The Riverside Museum (replacing the preceding Glasgow Museum of Transport) is a museum in the Partick area of Glasgow, Scotland, [1] housed in a building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, with its River Clyde frontage at the new Pointhouse Quay.
The Museum has about 21,000 objects related to the various means of transportation and around 3,000 exemplary pieces from the collection displayed in special thematic sections.
Walk through Glasgow streets and visit the shops, bar and subway. Climb aboard a train, tram or bus and get a real feel for old public transport. Discover Glasgow's rich shipbuilding history, explore the car and motorbike walls and help put out a fire with our interactive fire engine.
Climb onto the platforms of the steam locomotives, interact with over 20 hands-on exhibits. Round it all off by boarding the Tall Ship. The museum is a ten-minute walk from Partick train station and entry is free, except for entry to the Tall Ship. 100 Pointhouse Place, Glasgow G3 8RS.
