Knight Rider is a 2008 American made-for-television action film and the third installment of the Knight Rider film series, which was created to serve as a backdoor pilot for the new Knight Rider television series, a revival of the 1982–1986 series of the same name.
K.I.T.T. 's creator Charles Graiman has made a new K.I.T.T., the Knight Industries Three Thousand. His daughter, Sarah Graiman, and Michael Knight's son Mike Traceur, team up with the new K.I.T.T. to rescue Charles Graiman when he is kidnapped. They are helped by FBI agent Carrie Rivai.
If you just watch the movie and episodes 11 and up, there's still a good show there. Their biggest mistake was abandoning the setup the movie left them with: Michael and KITT, an old man leading the team (Graiman), a small support team (Sarah and Carrie), a mobile base of operations (cargo plane), and a "One man can make a difference" theme.
