ONTARIO OKC3S U.S. MARINE CORPS MULTI-PURPOSE BAYONET - The new official issue Marine Corps bayonet, this 13.25in knife was designed to provide the Marine with a more aggressive fighting implement than the M9.
During the 1990s, Camillus reproduced the 1953-contract M4 bayonet for commercial sale. However, subtle variations make identification of the reproductions relatively easy. The most obvious differences are the peen; and, the guard and latch plate markings. The reproduction has a flat peen, where the period piece has a starburst peen.
This USMC combat fighting knife is made from heavy duty steel and designed to penetrate body armor, thick clothing, slice through rope, and cut hardened materials. On the handle is the coveted Eagle, Globe, and Anchor as well as “USMC”. The bayonet attachment hooks onto to M16, M4 and most AR15 Rifles. The sheath is not Marine Corps-issue.
