There’s rumors that it’s gonna be a black Jersey. His point is that they put the screaming eagle logo on a red jersey just last season (although they sold a pretty limited quantity so those jerseys are hard to come by).
They both suck. I prefer the “new” one which is basically just a slight redesign on the original, but it’s still one of the worst logos in the league. Their one that is the eagle over the Capitol building is pretty nice, now sure why they don’t use that as the primary.

[Chris Creamer] On this day in 1973, the National League approved the relocation of the San Diego Padres to Washington. It obviously never happened, but it came close enough that logos and uniforms were made, and Topps baseball cards listed Padres players as playing for Washington “Nat’l Lea”
