The next two columns are comparisons of the current guides and the new guides for 2022-2023, and the two columns after that are comparisons for 2023-2024.
17 Ιουν 2024 · The Newark Board of Education (NBOE), along with the Newark Teachers Union (NTU), has officially approved a new teacher salary guide. The starting salary for first-year teachers has been raised to $65,000. NBOE is dedicated to attracting highly qualified educators for students.

As we said in the above Statement, the only changes to the contract were on the Teacher salary guides. Steps 1-8 were raised to $62,000, and the higher steps were raised by $500 in 2022-2023 and an additional $500 in 2023-2024.
