The Big E, formally known as The Eastern States Exposition, is an annual fair in West Springfield, Massachusetts, which opens on the second Friday after Labor Day and runs for seventeen days. It is billed as " New England 's Great State Fair ," the largest agricultural event on the eastern seaboard and the fifth-largest fair in the nation. [ 2 ]

23 Σεπ 2024 · Each fall brings to western Massachusetts one of the most highly anticipated events of the year—the annual New England Great State Fair, otherwise known as The Big E. Started back in 1917, The Big E is a 17-day extravaganza of exhibits, entertainment, agriculture, and, of course, food.
The Big E is America’s Premier Exposition and world’s only multi-state fair, representing all six New England States, with entertainment, unique foods, competitive livestock shows, shopping, a circus and much more.
30 Αυγ 2022 · The fair’s 173rd edition holds to tradition with an emphasis on livestock competitions: Draft horses, oxen, dairy cattle, sheep, and goats all vie for best-of-breed status. Hit the rides all day long with a one-price wristband, and enjoy local music acts, “Swifty Swine,” magic shows, and a demolition derby.
