VA AFGE 2023 Master Agreement (click to download) On August 8, 2023, the negotiating teams from AFGE National VA Council and Department of Veterans Affairs met in Salem, VA to execute the 2023 Master Agreement.
This Master Agreement is made between the Department of Veterans Affairs (the Department) and the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) National Veterans Affairs Council of Locals (the Union) .
Therefore, the parties agree to work together using partnership principles, Labor-Management Forums, and the Master Agreement to identify problems and craft solutions, enhance productivity, and deliver the best quality of service to the nation’s veterans .
After over five years of unwavering dedication, members of the AFGE National VA Council have ratified the 2023 Master Agreement with the VA. This significant achievement showcases the relentless pursuit of a contract prioritizing VA employees and veterans.
Article 3 – Labor Management Cooperation. The VA and AFGE are committed to working together at all levels to: Improve service to Veterans. Ensure a quality work environment for employees. Effect a more efficient administration of VA programs.
