When you look at the top lane roster like actual top lane champions. There is like only one champion who can deal with his bullsht and thats aatrox due to his q range matching with his combo range and thats it.
AP Cho is high tier in mid, definetely viable top. And Tank Cho does a shit load of magic/true damage in the first place you don't even need to build AP.
I suggest learning one or two AP top laners, and spam it for a bit until you feel comfortable on them. There's a lot of suggestions in this thread, pick whichever one you think matches your playstyle.
