One can register online by using the NHIF Selfcare Platform and follow the steps outlined in the platform. One can register by dialing the USSD code *155# from any network and following the prompts. One can also register through ‘My NHIF‘ App which can be downloaded from Google Play Store or Apple Store.

17 Σεπ 2024 · Wachira stated that NHIF will be transitioned to the SHA, effective 1 October 2024. As such, the CEO said every Kenyan citizen, including dependents, is mandated by law to register as a member of the SHA. “The last date for admission under NHIF is 30 September 2024, and SHA benefits will begin on 1 October 2024,” he said.

NHIF introduced self-care platforms, including dialling USSD *155#, downloading the ‘My NHIF’ App available on Play Store or Apple Store, and the self-care portal on the NHIF website (www.nhif.or.ke) to register as a member. You can also visit the NHIF branches or Huduma Centres Countrywide to register as a member.
