You can always check your status or get your NHIF details by sending a text message with the format [ID {space} Your ID Number] e.g. (ID 12345678) to 1550, by dialling *155#, using the ‘My NHIF’ App which can be downloaded from Google Play or App Store or the NHIF Selfcare Platform.
Self-employed members can register online by using the NHIF Selfcare Platform, by dialing *155# or by using the ‘My NHIF‘ App which can be downloaded from Google Play Store or Apple Store. After registering online, members are required to visit the nearest NHIF office or Huduma Center for finger biometric registration.
Visit the NHIF website (http://www.nhif.or.ke/healthinsurance/) and scroll down to locate “Online Registration” and click on it. It will take you to the page designated for NHIF online registration.
