Night Club Two Step was created by Buddy Schwimmer in the mid-1960s. It is frequently dance to soft rock ballads that have quick-quick-slow beat. This dance is particularly suited to nightclub or wedding music and is often used to enhance the basic slow dance.
Nightclub 2 Step is danced to medium tempo music and is characterized by a long side step, followed by a rock step (or break step) and another side step and rock step. Dance instructors vary in how the Nightclub 2 Step should be started, with either a rock step or a side step.
Nightclub two step is a romantic partner dance that brings a slow, intimate vibe to the dance floor, perfect for those dreamy ballads and love songs. Unlike its faster country counterpart, nightclub two step allows dancers to move smoothly and gracefully in sync with one another.
Nightclub Two Step was invented in the mid-1960s by a teenage Buddy Schwimmer, as way of dancing to the popular slow ballads of the time. It still remains one of the best dances for this purpose today, as it can be danced to nearly 1/3 of all songs on the pop charts today.
