13 Απρ 2009 · The 1000D/XS came out in June of last year. All nikon did was replace their lower rung entry level mode. which is paired against the 1000D/XS. The 500D/T1i is paired against the d90 not the d5000. I look for the 1100D/2000D to come out with the XSi updated 12MP sensor and 720p 30 fps video at 3fps and no crippled RAW burst mode like the 1000D had.
That being said, both the T1i and the D90 have pentaprism viewfinders, which is a huge advantage over the D5000, which is a pentamirror IIRC. If you're trying to decide between two brands, the best thing to do is go to a store and handle both.
Nikon D5000 has a "Nikon DX"-sensor while Canon EOS Rebel XSi has a "Canon APS-C"-sensor, and their difference in sensors will also affect the crop factor and experience focal length. See the table below.
6 Ιουν 2009 · All seem to have received good reviews from users. To be honest, I am leaning towards the 620 due to the fact that it is "water resistant" to a certain degree, has many similar components to the E-30 and the retractable screen is a bonus.
The two things I like the most about the D5000 are its small size and the wonderful high ISO image quality. It makes a great outdoor camera because it’s easy to pack and can deliver great photos in all kinds of conditions.
