Nikon Support Site lists all the firmware for their cameras. Download v1.0.2 for the D90 using that link. I believe the steps are as follows: Unzip the file; Run the setup routine and follow the instructions; When finished navigate to your desktop; Locate the Nikon folder; Inside this folder copy the NKLD01002.BIN file to the root of the memory ...
You may need to buy a separate SD card reader, or gamble installing Nikon's always buggy software on your computer to download directly from the D90 if Apple's Image Capture or other software doesn't do it for you.
