So, recently I installed the qDSLRDashboard on my Windows 10 Laptop and connected my old Nikon D90 with its original USB cable to the laptop. The laptop recognized the D90, I pressed the USB button and all I got was the message "Searching for USB devices". It could not locate the D90 at all.
19 Αυγ 2015 · Both my D90 and D50 can transfer files via USB in Windows 10, both through Explorer and Lightroom 6. The D50 is set to PTP protocol. The D90 works tethered in Lightroom 6, the D50 is not seen for tethering although I can transfer files via Lightroom 6.
This seems to be a compatibility issue between Windows 10 and older Nikon cameras. You could try the solution in this thread by Rabid_Claim: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for... 26 Μαρ 2014 · This service provides software for upgrading D90 A to ver 1.00 and B firmware to ver.1.01. This software allows for simultaneous update of both A and B firmware to the latest version. If these latest firmware versions are already installed on your camera, you need not proceed with download or installation of this Firmware Upgrade.

10 Μαρ 2018 · I do have an older Nikon software suite package designed for Windows XP and Vista, that I haven't yet tried to install under Windows 10. I'm wondering why none of these downloadable softwares that are suppose to be Windows 10 compatible won't install?
