1 Ιουλ 2018 · If your lens needs to be serviced and you have no or little experience working with lenses then I would suggest that you just pay a real repairman to work on your lens. He has the proper tools and experience to do this.
Ideas on what this costs? The lens is NOT under warranty due to its age. 2 years ago, it cost me $450 to repair my AF issue with that lens. It was the motor, but our symptoms were different. Mine started by going to infinity no matter what the distance. It never squeaked.
8 Νοε 2020 · The AF Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 ED was made from 1987 to 1992, this is the first autofocus version of the 80-200/2.8 class of lenses. This was a big hit when it came out, Nikon shooters were able to get to autofocus with this on their then-state-of-the-art Nikon F4 .
13 Δεκ 2020 · The AI AF-S Zoom Nikkor ED 28-70mm F2.8D (IF) was sold from 1999 to 2007. Many manufacturers have lenses that offer similar specs at that time, even off-brand makers have them, too. Nikon had to respond to this but it took them a few years to get it right.
15 Φεβ 2015 · I just acquired the 28-70 for a very good price, but the lens does not focus and the barrel won't go past 35mm. Is it worth sending to Nikon for repair? Does anyone have any recent information about this lens and it's repair cost? Thanks in advance!
\$\begingroup\$ You need a repair shop & hopefully a good insurance policy. There's nothing anyone here can do - you dropped it, you broke it. Get it fixed or buy a new one. A 70-200 2.8 is going to be worth about $£€ 2,000 or more to replace, so see what the repair cost might be then make the call. \$\endgroup\$ –
