4 Φεβ 2018 · The Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 Ai-S debuted in 1981 to replace the old Nikkor 28mm f/2.8 Ai. The older lens is a great performer so Nikon had to surpass its performance when it’s time to update it. Nikon did that by adding CRC to it which also enabled this to focus even closer.

I’ve successfully disassembled/cleaned/reassembled a few Minolta and Olympus lenses using YouTube tutorials, but not Nikon. Do you know if there are significant differences between my lens and the f2.8 version you made a guide for?

In fall 2009, the Nikon 70-200mm VR was replaced by the 700-200mm VR II lens. The Nikon 70-200mm VR is a full-frame FX lens that is compatible with FX and DX digital single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras. Nikon calls this lens the Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor ED 70-200mm F2.8G IF.
