26 Νοε 2020 · I have just bought this lens together with a nikon Z5 and a 16-35mm f4. The 35-70 won’t auto focus on the Z5 but will on my old D7500. The 16-35mm works fine on both cameras. So both lens and camera seem to be working but not with each other! Any suggestions as to how to resolve this?
8 Νοε 2020 · The answer is simple, the 2 newer versions have a tendency to back-focus when shooting at their long-end at distances below 10m on modern Nikons. One reason is because they have a feature for calculating distance that’s absent on this version. I’ll illustrate it in my AF Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D ED repair article.
Hello Richard, I have several lenses I need to disassemble and repair. First is a Nikon 80-200 with the all to common broken m-a focus ring. The second is a Nikon 180 2.8 with haze. Finally is a 105 2.8 that won’t focus all the way to infinity. Any wisdom you can lend would be great. Keep up the great work you do. Enjoy your site!

27 Δεκ 2018 · What a great suggestion for fixing the autofocus issue of the Nikon 70-200 F2.8 VR II lens. I had the same issue which the lens just would not autofocus anymore. I was think about either sending it to a repair shop or go for broke - get a new lens.
I've bought two of these lenses, and both have had this problem, so I decided to make a video sharing the fix with everyone, maybe it can help someone fix th...
7 Φεβ 2023 · Photos were soft with the 70-200 (tack sharp with f2.8 17-55 and f4 180-400 TC), and in my autofocus fine adjustment testing, it required +18 to -2 at different focal lengths (20 adjustment gap), so I sent it in for servicing in Aug 2021.
