22 Σεπ 2012 · One of the fundamental differences between Nisus and Mellel is that when a new feature appears in Nisus, the user is usually provided with a complete solution that allows him or her to choose from a wide range of options. Mellel, however, will usually only provide very few options.

26 Ιουλ 2003 · Nisus is a very good and very nice application, but for specifically academic use Mellel is definitely the best choice one can make: perfect outlining, superb auto-titles, seamless integration with Bookends / Sente, and so on.
23 Ιουν 2009 · The biggest difference for me between Mellel and Nisus (aside from compatability - Nisus is all but seamless with Word. Mellel is a better WP but a bit snotty with its interactions) is the style sheets thing.
17 Οκτ 2009 · How would you compare Mellel with Nisus Writer Pro? Which one is better especially for scholars and professional writers? Since Nisus Writer Pro seems to provide a much better exchange/sharing options (due to its native rtf format), it looks quite appealing.
21 Δεκ 2008 · For pure writing, Nisus Writer Pro is the better application, and we wholeheartedly recommend it for such tasks. However, this group test was about a wider range of needs, and for that, Pages edges it, with its mix of efficiency, elegance, tools and features.
Nisus is cheaper, has much more features for professional writers, has a very powerful macro engine, and is scriptable. Mellel is not scriptable. Mellel is good for very long documents (700 pages and more), and has a very good outline.
