Once you submit your admission application to NIU, you need to activate the unique NIU Account ID (Z-ID) that we’ve created for you. Go to NIU AccountIDs and Passwords Account Activation . Provide your NIU Z-ID, the personal email address used when you applied, and your birthdate.
There are two easy ways to apply to NIU for free. No test scores required. Apply directly to NIU using our online application. Begin NIU Application. Add us to your list of schools while completing the Common App. Apply on Common App. We are currently accepting applications for Spring, Summer and Fall 2025.
