The NASDTEC Interstate Agreement eases the teacher certification reciprocity process by allowing compact agencies to check a teacher’s license status in other states. This means that certified teachers do not always have to provide additional proof of certification.
Educators from other states seeking New Jersey certification via reciprocity must hold the equivalent type and subject area/grade level out-of-state license. Assuming such equivalency, the following applies:
14 Μαρ 2022 · The teaching license reciprocity system is managed by NASDTEC, the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification. They facilitate the mobility of educators among states.
(a) Individuals holding certification in fields not recognized as comparable for certification in Georgia must meet minimum standards for a recognized Georgia field. For example, while some states certify individuals in “Journalism”, Georgia has no comparable educator certificate.
