To take an exam, you must first create an account and then complete the registration and payment process at the Texas Educator Certification Examination Program website. Step 2: Scheduling. Once you have registered to take an exam, you may schedule your test appointment online 7 days per week, 24 hours per day.
Exam Dates and Sites. Most exams are available year round by appointment, Monday through Saturday (excluding some holidays), at flexible times and locations. For information about your exam, select your exam from the list below.

The 2024–2025 score report dates for the Texas educator certification exams are now available.
This page provides testing information related to obtaining a Texas educator certificate. Texas law requires that educators pass appropriate tests to become certified. The appropriate examination(s) required for certification are specified in the Texas Administrative Code, §230.21(e) .
There are currently three testing vendors for obtaining Texas certification. Pearson Program policies (outside source) provide rules and procedures related to testing, registration, and score reporting.
