19 Δεκ 2012 · I have an Acer Aspire 7520 running Windows Vista Home and windows recently installed updates. When the update was completed I have a red X for my speakers which says "No audio output device is installed".
I recently updated the realtek audio driver on my Dell computer (desktop) with Windows Vista installed. After I reset my computer, everything seemed to install right, but when I went to turn on the speakers, it said "no audio output device installed."
Realtek High Definition Audio is a tool that allows you to listen to High Quality (HD) audio on your PC without problems. On many occasions, due to newer hardware than the current one on your computer, the drivers are not compatible and do not work properly.
I keep on getting a "No Audio Output Device is installed" when hovering my loudspeaker icon in Windows Vista. I have tried System >> Device Manager >> Sound >> Realtek High Definition Album >> Update Driver Software.
1. Check your speaker output. 2. Run the audio troubleshooter. 3. Verify that all Windows Updates are installed. 4. Check your cables, plugs, jacks, volume, speaker, and headphone connections. 5. Check sound settings. 6. Fix your audio drivers. 7. Set your audio device as the default device. 8. Turn off audio enhancements. 9. Restart Audio Services
