31 Ιαν 2022 · More and more Nordic centers are allowing skiers to enjoy the trails with their furry friends, but Notchview Nordic Skiing Center in western Windsor, Massachusetts has an entirely separate trail system groomed purposefully for skiing with dogs – or “skijoring.”
Centers for cross-country (also called XC or Nordic skiing) are found in most parts of Massachusetts, with the greatest concentration in the Berkshire Mountains in the west. Almost all cross country skiing centers also welcoming snowshoeing and also offer snowshoe equipment rentals and lessons.
Stowe Mountain Resort's Cross Country Ski Center offers 45 kilometers of groomed trails and 30 kilometers of backcountry terrain.
