The above calculator requires the patient’s gender, age, height and weight and the serum creatinine. The formulas used are gender specific: CrCl for men = [(140 - age) x Weight in kg] / (Serum Creatinine in mg/dL x 72) CrCl for women = [(140 - age) x Weight in kg x 0.85] / (Serum Creatinine in mg/dL x 72)
For use in patients with stable renal function to estimate creatinine clearance. The Cockcroft-Gault Equation may be inaccurate depending on a patient's body weight and BMI; by providing additional height, we can calculate BMI and provide a modified estimate and range. Please fill out required fields. Insights from Dr. Cockcroft:
Once you enter your gender, height, weight and serum creatinine, as provided through any specialized blood test, the creatinine clearance calculator will display you the creatinine clearance in ml/min and also the ideal body weight based on Devine’s formula so you know where you stand.
20 Σεπ 2021 · The ideal level isn’t the same for everyone across the board, which is why you should be aware of the creatinine goal based on your age. Let’s take a closer look at what creatinine is, how it impacts your body, and what is considered normal levels for every age.
CKD-EPI formula: Creatinine clearance is considered to be normal at 90 mL/min/1.73m². Cockcroft & Gault formula: Creatinine clearance is considered by normal at 70 to 130 mL/min/1,73 m² for children; 85 to 125 mL/min/1,73 m² for women, and 75 to 115 mL/min/1,73 m² for men.
Males: IBW = 50 kg + 2.3 kg for each inch over 5 feet. Females: IBW = 45.5 kg + 2.3 kg for each inch over 5 feet. Some studies have shown that utilizing the adjusted body weight improves accuracy compared to other commonly used equations in estimating the creatinine clearance in the elderly population.
-k is 0.7 for females and 0.9 for males. -alpha is -0.241 for females and -0.302 for males. -min indicates the minimum of Scr/k or 1. -max indicates the maximum of Scr/k or 1.
