8 Οκτ 2024 · Overview of normal sinus rhythm (NSR) The default heart rhythm; Pacemaking impulses arise from the sino-atrial node and are transmitted to the ventricles via the AV-node and His-Purkinje system; This results in a regular, narrow-complex heart rhythm at 60-100 bpm

10 Νοε 2022 · This article is a guide for interpreting abnormal Normal Sinus Rhythm EKGs, including qualifying criteria and a sample EKG rhythnm strip. Normal sinus rhythm is indicated by a heart rate in the normal range of 60-100 beats per minute with a steady rate, aside from variations due to respiration.
A cardiac rhythm strip only indicates normal sinus rhythm (NSR) when all of the following criteria are fulfilled: The rhythm is regular with consistent R-R intervals. Atrial and ventricular rates between 60 – 100 beats per minute (bpm) Each QRS complex is preceded by a distinct P wave.
Sinus rhythm (which is the normal rhythm) has the following characteristics: (1) heart rate 50–100 beats per minute; (2) P-wave precedes every QRS complex; (3) the P-wave is positive in lead II and (4) the PR interval is constant.
1 Οκτ 2024 · Rate. Tachycardia or bradycardia? Normal rate is 60-100/min. 2. Pattern of QRS complexes. Regular or irregular? If irregular is it regularly irregular or irregularly irregular? 3. QRS morphology. Narrow complex: sinus, atrial or junctional origin. Wide complex: ventricular origin, or supraventricular with aberrant conduction. 4. P waves.
Is there a P wave preceding every QRS complex? Assess the presence, shape, and duration of the P wave. Determine if the P waves are consistent with sinus rhythm or atrial arrhythmias.
Definition (criteria) for sinus rhythm. Regular rhythm with ventricular rate between 50 and 100 beats/min. P-wave with constant morphology preceding every QRS complex. The P-wave is positive in lead II. Figure 1 (below) shows normal sinus rhythm at paper speed 25 mm/s.
