North & South is a British television historical drama programme, produced by the BBC and originally broadcast in four episodes on BBC One in November and December 2004. The serial is based on the 1855 Victorian novel North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell and takes place in the years surrounding the Great Exhibition of 1851 .

1 Μαρ 2016 · It follows Margaret Hale, a genteel young woman raised in the South, as she adapts to life in a cold, polluted mill town of the industrial north (Manchester, renamed to Milton). Margaret has strong disilke at first sight to a mill owner, who vecomes her fathers pupil.
Released: 6th September 2010. All episodes from the series based on the book trilogy set in the 1800s in the years leading up to the American Civil War. Orry Main (Patrick Swayze) and George Hazard (James Read) form a strong friendship at the United States Military Academy.
