FWIW, I've seen several posts about the game working on Steam Deck (Linux) as well as a few posts regarding its use in PSO2 and UNDECEMBER from searching "nprotect gameguard proton" on Google, so at least Linux compatibility shouldn't be a concern.

10 Σεπ 2018 · GameGuards only work on legitimate players. Bots don't even load the normal client (and thus, don't load GameGuard/etc anyway) in the first place. Furthermore, GameGuard doesn't even work at blocking hacks. They're just invasive rootkit trash.
