The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is a voluntary program administered by the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to private landowners and producers. The EQIP provides financial cost-share payments for implementing conservation practices to eligible producers and landowners.
Basic benefit-cost information has been identified for all 175 NRCS Conservation Practices in the form of one-page documents. Each document has the same format and data categories, making it is easy to compare practices.
The following is a summary of cost sharing authorized for the Watershed Program. Technical assistance funds needed for planning are paid up to 100 percent by NRCS.
NRCS will provide cost-share payments annually for a period of 5 years based on the individual practices that the landowner chooses to apply. The total contract payment for this property is $199,999.00 with an average annual payment of approximately $40,000.00.
