The National Service Training Program (NSTP) is a civic education and defense preparedness program for students instituted by the Government of the Philippines on November 13, 2009, by virtue of Republic Act 9163, otherwise known as the "National Service Training Program (NSTP) Act of 2001."
NSTP- CWTS teach students as an innovator of change whereas CWTS students responds to the needs of the community and youth as innovators of social change.
The primary objective of the NSTP law is to promote the role of the youth in nation-building. As such, it aims to encourage the youth to become civic and/or military leaders and volunteers whom could be called upon by the nation in cases their services are needed.
