2 Οκτ 2023 · S/U Option and Minor Programme. 1) Satisfactory / Unsatisfactory Option. With effect from AY2024-2025, Flexible Grading Option (FGO) supersedes the existing S/U Option.
The S/U Option allows you to declare certain modules as basically pass (Satisfactory) or Fail (Unsatisfactory). EITHER way, that module will then have no effect on your GPA. If declared as Unsatisfactory, however, the AU from the module will not count towards fulfilling degree requirements.

These solutions are done by undergraduate students from the Subject Representative Subcommittee of the SPMS Club and have been kept from preceeding Academic Years. Please note that these solutions are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate or correct. Solutions from some years are also not available.
In the end, for the higher level mods, you can hardly use the S/U option. Apparently other schools like SMU has no SU option....
You can download past year exam question papers from this site. Please note that the site is only accessible to staff and students who are currently enrolled. Students are to log in with their NTU email account. Staff are to log in with their NTU network account.
In NUS you can S/U any level-1000 and most (or in some cases almost all) level-2000 modules including core modules. You cannot S/U any level-3000 and level-4000 modules. You also make the choice to exercise the S/U option after getting your results. In NTU you cannot S/U core modules.
