S/U Option and Minor Programme. 1) Satisfactory / Unsatisfactory Option. With effect from AY2024-2025, Flexible Grading Option (FGO) supersedes the existing S/U Option.
What can I S/U? Students enrolled from AY21/22 onwards can S/U BDE courses. For students enrolled in AY20/21 and earlier, you can S/U UE courses. For students enrolled from AY21/22 onwards, you can S/U up to 12AU of Second Major courses and up to 6AU of Minor courses.
Question. Hi seniors I'm currently deciding between nus and ntu at the moment and one of the criteria I'm looking at is the s/u system. From what I know ntu only allows you to decide before your results are out vs nus which is after.
#AskNTUSU What does this semester's S/U Option mean for me? Clarifications With the recent announcement of S/U option, we understand that there are several queries. This is dependent on your course and specialisation.
In NUS you can S/U any level-1000 and most (or in some cases almost all) level-2000 modules including core modules. You cannot S/U any level-3000 and level-4000 modules. You also make the choice to exercise the S/U option after getting your results. In NTU you cannot S/U core modules.
NU of S has rolled out its new S/U policy that allows students to S/U AFTER seeing their results at the END OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR instead of end of semester. Whereas our school still stick with the archaistic S/U policy.
