NUKEMAP is a mapping mash-up that calculates the effects of the detonation of a nuclear bomb.
22 Ιουλ 2013 · NUKEMAP3D: the next dimension of nuclear effects mapping, with 3D modeling and real-time animations of custom-built mushroom clouds and nuclear fireballs.
NUKEMAP3D was a mashup between the NUKEMAP and the Google Earth Browser Plugin, created by Alex Wellerstein in 2013. It allowed a user to see the ground effects of a nuclear weapon over any city in the world in 3D, as well as render a size-accurate mushroom cloud for any given yield of nuclear weapon.
25 Ιουλ 2013 · NUKEMAP2 is an upgraded version of the original NUKEMAP, with completely re-written effects simulations codes that allow one a huge amount of flexibility in the nuclear detonation one is trying to model. It also allows fallout mapping and casualty counts, among other things.
29 Ιουλ 2013 · Alex Wellerstein’s NukeMap was a very popular tool, and now he’s back with a Google Earth plugin-powered 3D map called NukeMap 3D. The new application does it exactly what you’d expect — it...
The application allows the user to “animate” the accuracy of the missile, as well as calculate the Single Shot Probability of Kill for arbitrarily-sized targets. In 2017, I also developed the MISSILEMAP , a variant of NUKEMAP that visualizes the relationship between nuclear missile range and accuracy and the explosive payload, showing how ...
