First-year students interested in applying directly to the University of Iowa College of Nursing should apply for admission to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and indicate Nursing Interest as the major area of study.
Check Your Application Status. After we receive your application, we'll send you a HawkID and password to access the university's online student services portal, which you can use to track the status of your application online through your Admissions Profile in MyUI.
This admission status allows students to take some graduate courses at the university without committing to a degree objective. Admission as a nursing professional improvement student requires a formal application, including submission of three current written recommendations and all academic transcripts.
The College of Nursing scholarship application will only be available to you on the portal during the open application periods. You may also be directed to the Recommended Opportunities page to view/apply to other scholarship opportunities outside of the College of Nursing for which you may qualify.
