To ensure access to justice in all NY State Courts for people of all backgrounds, incomes, and abilities, by using every resource, including pro bono programs, self-help services, and technological tools, and by securing stable and adequate non-profit and government funding for civil and criminal legal services programs.
The New York State Unified Court System’s Office for Justice Initiatives led by Honorable Edwina G. Richardson, Deputy Chief Administrative Judge for Justice Initiatives, is charged with directing the New York State Courts Access to Justice Program.
The New York State Judicial Screening Committees continuously accepts applications for the following positions: Additional Justices of the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First, Second, Third, and Fourth Departments.
