The NYU Tisch Filmmaking non-credit certificate introduces all aspects of filmmaking including: shooting, directing, writing, cinematography, editing, and producing. A certificate is awarded to students who successfully complete the four required courses within one year or two successive summers.

The NYU Tisch Graduate Film program provides an intensive laboratory in writing/directing as well as concentrations in all other areas of filmmaking. Each student makes at least four short films during their three years in the program, plus a thesis project.
