History. 1991–1993: Formation and early years. In 1991, bassist Paul McGuigan, guitarist Paul Arthurs, drummer Tony McCarroll, and singer Chris Hutton formed a band called the Rain. Unsatisfied with Hutton, Arthurs invited and auditioned acquaintance Liam Gallagher as a potential replacement.
Biography. Oasis were formed in Manchester in 1991. They were originally called The Rain before Noel joined the band. Prior to Noel joining, the band consisted of: Liam Gallager: lead vocals, Paul Authurs: guitar, Paul McGuigan: bass, and Tony McCarroll: drums. Before joining Oasis, Noel was a roadie/technician for the band Inspiral Carpets.
Oasis have sold out all Australian dates on their OASIS LIVE ’25 world tour with all four stadium shows selling out within 90 minutes of going on sale. In response to this phenomenal demand, the band have added a fifth and final show to the Australian leg of the tour, playing Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on Tuesday 4 November.
