It’s interesting to me to rank medical schools based on research because it doesn’t always translate to their medical curriculum. For example, university of Washington always ranks super high for research and yet… they have no dedicated research opportunities/programs/tracks for their medical students.

The decision you make depends on your numbers, your academic interests, and career goals. Don’t just apply to DO schools because you think it might be easier to get admitted.
This is general advice to the Americans in this thread: the only good reason to go to the EU for medical school as an American is if you want to practice medicine in the EU. Do NOT go to the EU to save money or because you don’t want to get a 4-year degree before medical school.
The only case I would consider taking DO over MD is if they gave you a generous scholarship or if it’s in a preferred location (like for example, living close to your family or SO). The best DO school is arguably PCOM and I wouldn’t take it over any MD school. 1. Award.
